My Eidolons

Everyone dies. The goal is not to live forever. The goal is to create something that will.

I read that somewhere. Don't remember where. Don't remember the author. It was somebody you'd know if I could remember who it was and write their name here. I'll keep thinking about it and looking for it and as soon as I have it I'll come back and put it here. Promise. If I don't forget.

Just watched the movie, "The Two Popes". It was really good, a lot better than I expected. I was going to write down either verbatim or by summary something one of them said, but now I don't remember what it was. It wasn't what I started out with at the top of this post. I don't think the one at the top of this post is something that either of them would have said, either in the movie or in real life. Or maybe it is. Yes, now that I think about it, it could have been. But it wasn't what I had in mind before losing it. 

I saw a list of "22 Ways To Be A Good Democrat". I found one of them to be worth repeating:

17. You have to believe that the only reason socialism hasn't worked anywhere it's been tried is because the right people haven't been in charge.
